i hope it at least does push them that way, although since they have that description of “not putting sources” i’d bet they were yelled at previously and didn’t do jack shit about it

one of my fave exccuses is ‘well the place i found it didnt have a source either’. right up there with ‘its the internet you should expect this’. ^q^
ugh the last one particularly disgusts me because people seem to think that artists completely give up their rights to their own pictures once they put it out anywhere somebody may see it. as soon as somebody lays eyeballs on it, the picture doesn’t belong to the artist anymore

it’s just funny when i think about how much art i see day to day that enrich my life and i just take them for granted and not give a whit about who made it, yet feel like i should have people appreciate my efforts they see something of mine they like. i guess not all artists can control how much of themselves is seen in their work but i can so i will do so

people attaching “syndrome” to it make it sound like it’s this horrendous serious thing. tbh i think as long as artists vary up the expressions, body types, and hairstyles, similar looking faces are fine, even expected. and i’ve never noticed any glaring sameface-yness in your work!

i think part of the deal is that same face syndrome is usually combined with same pose syndrome, you end up with just outfit swaps and boring same-old same-old art…
yeah, in that case pointing out same face would be valid. i just feel like people are kind of obsessed with it nowadays to the point of throwing it at artists who display amazing variety and skill in their work and then get busted for minor details like drawing the same nose
